Vanessa & Thomas { Kiawah Island Wedding }

Shannon headed about an hour south of Charleston for a fun and charming Kiawah Island wedding, and we’re so happy to share some of her experiences with you!  Vanessa and Thomas met while working in New York City and, while it wasn’t love at first sight, they’ve been inseparable ever since.  A beautiful, quiet beach was the perfect spot for their ceremony and the fun festivities that followed.  Shannon met up with Vanessa as she was putting the finishing touches on her bridal look: a lovely simple chic dress with plunging neckline accented by baby’s breath laced through her hair.  The effect was simply elegant.  Thomas was equally handsome in his white button up and khakis, anxiously awaiting Vanessa’s arrival on the beach.

Vanessa walked down a boardwalk ‘aisle’ to the sands where everyone was gathered in the fading light of the summer sun.  They exchanged their own vows and then out came the bubbly!  They celebrated for a few moments with their family and friends with waves lapping lazily behind them before Shannon stole them away for some quiet portraits.  We absolutely adore the ‘just married’ bicycles – what a neat touch for our fun couple!  But, we love them dancing even more.  In such a sweet moment, Thomas swept Vanessa in his arms and danced with her right on the beach in their bare feet and the last portrait of them kissing with the ocean stretching behind them is simply breathtaking.

Thank you both so very much for bringing us along for such a beautiful wedding and we wish you both health and happiness as you move forward together!  Congratulations again!
