Haley headed about an hour north of Charleston for a lovely Givhans Ferry Park wedding. Here are some of our favorite moments! Offering beautiful lakefront vistas and several pavilion options for the perfect reception, Givhans Ferry is an ideal location for any wedding. Crystal and Dusty opted for southern charm as their inspiration and let the park grounds and indoor spaces speak for themselves. Crystal’s ensemble exuded elegance, featuring a gorgeous lace overlay, airy skirt and matching lace accented slip-ons. She was stunning. Sporting a navy blue three-piece suit and fuchsia tie, Dusty looked incredibly handsome as he awaited his bride-to-be.
In front of one of the pavilions, a beautiful arbor of sun-bleached wood had been built and adorned with salmon and orange flowers and wispy white linen. And what about that adorable flower girl?! So cute. Not long after, Crystal and Dusty exchanged their vows to the delight of their gathered friends and family. Sealing it with a kiss, Crystal and Dusty became newlyweds to loud applause. They spent a little time with their families for portraits before Haley led them away for quiet moments together. Givhans Ferry’s densely packed trees provided a gorgeous natural backdrop for their newlywed portraits, and we love the private deck that was perfect for a few bridal photos. Crystal’s gorgeous bouquet of white, pinks, and oranges added a welcome pop of color and fit the southern theme beautifully.
One of our favorite aspects of weddings that we look forward to are the little touches that represent the bride and groom. We can honestly say that we’ve never had anyone gift homemade hot sauces before. This was an excellent (and spicy) twist on a wedding party favor.
Round tables were set up and covered with white linens accented by taupe table runners and golden plates and centerpieces. With the orange and pink dotted around the venue, the palette was warm and natural, creating a very inviting atmosphere. Inside the nearby pavilion, dark wood and wide windows filled the air with a romantic ambiance, making Crystal and Dusty’s first dance simply stunning. As the afternoon faded into night, strings of twinkling lights cast a warm glow throughout the space. Before long, though, it was time for the newlyweds to steal away into the night. Beneath an arch of sparklers, they made their way hand-in-hand toward the next adventure.
We’d like to thank the both of you for allowing us the opportunity to share your wedding day with you. Congratulations again!
