Charleston is home to several beautiful golf courses and country clubs, all perfect for an outdoor wedding. A Patriots Point Links wedding takes advantage of Mount Pleasant’s natural beauty and stunning views of Charleston Harbor to create an event that will not be forgotten. Anna and Alex wanted something a little natural for their nuptials, and the Veranda at Patriots Point was the perfect spot. Anna’s dress was stunning and originally was worn by her grandmother. The gown’s lace accents over a linen ballgown complimented by open-toed high wedges and a huge bouquet of white and pale pink wildflowers. She was breathtaking. She and her bridesmaids joined the guys at the College of Charleston’s Randolph Hall for portraits and a lovely first look. Sporting a grey suit with royal blue tie, Alex was quite handsome, and we adore the moments he shared with Anna, especially those on the winding stairs. They looked amazing together.
A short drive away, guests were anxiously awaiting the ceremony’s start. White chairs and wildflowers lined the lawn in front of the perfect spot with a beautiful view of the Harbor. When Anna made her entrance, time stood still. She was radiant beneath the afternoon sun. We loved the inclusion of their black lab as the ring bearer. It was a fun variation on a wedding staple. With a cool breeze rolling off of the water, the duo exchanged their vows and intertwined their lives, sealing it with a kiss. We normally pull the couple aside to capture some newlywed portraits but they were eager to spend time with their family, so Meredith captured those fun moments and waited until sunset to grab some more portraits. Smiles were everywhere as folks continued to line up and pose for a few photos with the new bride and groom.
Baby blue mixed with white and pale pink created a soft, natural atmosphere for the tent reception. Votives and wildflowers were beautiful centerpieces for the excitement that followed. After the first dance, everyone attacked the delicious food provided by Relish and some took to the lawn to play garden games. Guests were able to sample craft beer created by the couple and everyone was having a splendid time. Meredith was finally able to pull the duo away for their newlywed portraits on a green with the setting sun in the background. The golden hue cast a soft glow that created stunning photos, and we’re so happy to have captured these lovely moments. It wasn’t long before they rejoined the party and had a blast until well after the sun went down. It was a fun end to a beautiful day.
Thank you both for bringing us along on this adventure and we wish you nothing but health and happiness in the many years ahead. Congratulations again!
